Every time I recall B4, this button isn´t highlighted at startup. I also recognized "disabling of 1' drawbar if percussion is activated" isn´t storable. Stringbass works without the chorus/vibrato even it´s activated for the low manual. I managed to play B4II w/ Chainer by 2 midi keyboard controllers, transmitting midi on 3 channels, one of these splitted to play the pedals by left hand in the lower 2 octaves,- it´s a shame I cannot switch chorus/vibrato to "off" for the pedals if activated for the low manual and if the drawbars are active, not stringbass. I did more tests for live usage than to use it w/ a DAW and found also annoying,- chorus/vibrato switched "on" for lower manual/keyboard affects the pedals tones. I also found the pedals of B4II weak in levels. Even though they offer a Hammond Tone cabinet and output options that indicate a dry signal, it seemed to have cabinet simulation on all the time.Īfter I was able to crash VB3 by playing glisses and slurs, I went to B4II again formore comparisons. I also found that I couldn't seem to completely disable the cabinet sim on VB 3 to get a dry sound. I think the manuals on the B4II beat the VB 3 quite easily. I do wish though that B4II just had the pedal tones so there would be no need to look elsewhere for the right tone and volume. Plus, with two separate VST's, it was possible to add more volume to one and EQ them separately. By adding both the B4II and the VB 3, a very good pedal tone was realized. The VB 3 pedals actually get louder as you go down and that is good, but the tone is thin without the complex tone and so it seems almost an octave higher. The B4II seems to have captured this as well, but the lower down the pedals you go, the lower the volume until the lo "C" is just not there. This creates a more complex tone and gives the allusion of a deeper tone by adding other harmonics. On a real Hammond, each pedal drawbar has 4 pitches hardwired in the pedal switch assembly. I discovered that they are indeed louder, but they sound more like manual drawbars. I was interested in it to see if the pedal drawbars were louder that the weak ones on B4II. It does have a good Leslie simulation, percussion and chorus. The key click and 9 contact simulation is very good. Click to expand.I too downloaded it and compared it to B4II.
